#MakeItHappen with Song Saa Collective

Nestled in the warm sapphire waters of the Gulf of Thailand is Song Saa Private Island, Cambodia’s first luxury private island resort. Beyond luxurious accommodations, Song Saa Collective was founded with a mission of sustainability for the surrounding communities and natural environments.

Song Saa Foundation

Inspired by a passion for Cambodia and a commitment to sustainable development, the Song Saa Foundation drives projects that sustain the wellbeing of the local communities and ecosystems of the Koh Rong Archipelago and beyond.

The foundation ensures governance and a clear sense of mission, moving beyond CSR to multilateral funding and international donor partners. Guests are able to donate directly to a registered foundation and be confident their money goes directly to projects that protect the Archipelago.

Song Saa Private Island

The award-winning Song Saa Private Island has pioneered luxurious and sustainable tourism in Cambodia, in order to improve local livelihoods and preserve marine life and rainforests.

Song Saa’s commitment to having a positive impact on both people and the planet manifests itself in many ways, including in the creation of Cambodia’s first dedicated marine reserve, as well as a health and education center, among other programs. Water conservation, marine preservation and the use of natural materials have all been given high priority alongside maximizing the island’s impact on the local community.

“Discerning travelers want to know that destinations like Song Saa are mindful of their impact on the environment. Adopting sustainable practices was always going to be top of our agenda.” – Song Saa Collective

Song Saa Collective

The Boat of Hope has become one of the most widespread and impactful projects by the Song Saa Collective. Delivering much needed workshops on health, education, livelihood support, climate change and conservation – whilst distributing medical and educational supplies – the Boat of Hope is changing the lives of the Koh Rong Archipelago’s local population.

Beyond Song Saa Private Island, the Song Saa Collective is currently developing a bio-reserve outside Siem Reap that will include a new Song Saa resort, ecological and cultural conservation initiatives, and a solar project that will supply power to rural communities. The Song Saa Collective will also be launching an ethical fashion collection that works with local weavers and artisans to create textiles and ceramics.
