P eople waste a lot of time doing things that have nothing
to do with their businesses. That is where Adam
Neumann says WeWork steps in.
His mission is: “To create a world where people work to make a life,
not just a living.” His company, WeWork, co-founded with Miguel
McKelvey, is a global network of workspaces with 240,000 members
in 21 countries - and growing - all of whom can access everything
they need to work in a high-scale office environment. WeWork,
says Neumann, “…is not only for the millennials, but what he calls
the ‘we’ generation, which includes people who want to be part of a
sharing economy – which means that I can be without ownership of
anything and have access to everything.”
Named by TIME as one of 2018’s most influential people,
Neumann, with a listed net worth of over 2.5 billion, is on the
move. New ventures include branded WeLiving, a residential
shared community-living concept and WeGrow, a school fostering
entrepreneurial spirit, where Neumann hopes he can help more
people to “love what we do” – one of WeWork’s slogans.
